With a history dating back to the 18th century, the coffee industry in this region has flourished and evolved, building a reputation for exceptional quality and distinct characteristics. In recognition of its unique attributes, Cerrado Mineiro was granted Designation of Origin (DO) status in 2013, becoming the first coffee-producing region in Brazil to receive this prestigious designation.
